Golf, Glorious Weather, Generosity, and a Guest Speaker

This year Adana Construction LTD once again held their annual golf day at Stockport Golf Club, raising an outstanding amount for Beechwood Cancer Care and Barnabus Manchester.

Exceeding 2019’s total of £35,000 the day raised a staggering £55,000, of which £40,000 was donated to Beechwood Cancer Care.

The day could not have been better with bacon and sausage sandwiches and tea and coffee upon arrival, entertainment from the extremely talented Golf Trick Shot Boys and a round of golf – all accompanied by glorious sunshine.

Whilst out on the green there were competitions such as ‘Beat the Pro, ‘Longest Drive’ and ‘Nearest the Pin’.

Upon return to the club, the golfers enjoyed a well-deserved drink, with time to chat and relax before changing for dinner in readiness for an action-packed evening of charity fundraising. Raffle ticket sales were also in full swing by Helen (who can only be described as raffle ticket seller extraordinaire!).

The evening was accompanied by a delicious three course meal of king prawns with a mango salsa, chateaubriand, an assiette of desserts, wine, tea and coffee.

A fun start to the evening began with a game of Heads and Tails, followed by a raffle prize draw and an auction, which saw the likes of a variety of high-quality sporting prizes.

During the evening, Adana Construction LTD Managing Director, Joe Jassim and Commercial Director, Danny Tennant were accompanied by special guest Sam Allardyce. Sam not only gripped us all with his stories but welcomed a question-and-answer session, which provided plenty of laughs and entertainment!

We cannot thank Joe, Danny and all the team enough for the hard work and effort they put into organising this event, excelling year on year on the money raised to support local charities, with Beechwood being a very grateful beneficiary. Our thanks also to all of Adana’s guests whose contribution made the event the success that it was.

This kindness and generosity of Adana and their guests make it possible for Beechwood to continue to provide a wide range of support services for those whose lives have been affected by cancer or other life-limiting illness.

What is Gift Aid?
