Supporting your child and their mental health
This Children’s Mental Health Week, we will be sharing activities and exercises to help you to support your child and their mental health.
Beechwood understands that children may not always have the words to express and make sense of their circumstances.
Our Family Team create safe and non-judgmental spaces for children and young people to express themselves freely, at a time where they may be experiencing uncertainty, change, anxiety, loss, and grief.
Children often sense when there are serious changes happening around them. It is important to give them the opportunity to express their thoughts, fears and worries around this.
Our Family Team have provided 3 activities to help you to support your child when they are feeling sad or anxious.
Draw your feelings
This small exercise can be used to help children address their feelings and emotions during challenging times.
